Young Engineers Australia Sydney visit UGL Unipart

In 2022, Young Engineers Australia Sydney held its inaugural Engineering Amazing Race, in collaboration with a host of engineering firms and inter-university student societies. 

Participants battled it out in teams across a series of engineering and problem-solving challenges to test their ability to think creatively, cooperate with others, and handle time pressure. 

The winners of the race were given the opportunity to visit two CIMIC Group project sites, including the UGL Unipart site in Auburn, NSW. 

Zahaak Khan, UGL Engineering Manager, Elizabeth Elias, UGL Graduate Engineer, and Glen Estrella, UGL Undergrad Engineer, were hosts to Hayden, Connor and Aiden, 2nd year university students. 

The half-day visit included a site tour and discussions around derailed repair work and testing, heavy and light maintenance processes and obsolete items and mitigation strategies.
