Neil Anderson - Quality Compliance Manager, Broadmeadow NSW
Neil recently received a UGL Service Award for 40 years’ service. Starting as a storeman, he progressed through the company in various roles including clerical, procurement and quality. Neil has seen many changes since he joined the company back when it consisted of just one site at Broadmeadow (formerly A. Goninan & Co Limited) through to the acquisition by UGL and expanding across Australia, and now being part of the global CIMIC Group.
"You can see the difference being part of the larger Group, we can join forces with the other operating companies to win projects."
What do you like most about UGL?
"It’s the people that make the company. I’ve had some excellent bosses in my time at UGL - who have mentored me in work and in life; and my work colleagues are great, many whom have become life-long friends."

What advice would you give to someone starting at UGL?
"Follow the processes and if you have any problems there is always someone to help."
Neil is also Goninan’s historian and an active participant in one of UGL’s wellness programs which provides benefits to employees who take steps towards an active lifestyle with mindful health checks.
