How do I apply for a position within UGL?
The best way is to apply for a position that is already advertised on the Join Us page.
Who can submit an application?
Our roles are open to individual candidates who have an interest in working for UGL. We do not accept applications from Recruitment Agencies, Search Firms or external parties on behalf of candidates.
Can I apply or communicate directly with a manager?
Unfortunately due to the high number of applications that we receive our managers are unable to liaise with every candidate. We have a dedicated team of recruitment professionals who will contact you should your skill set be suitable for a role with UGL.
I have applied for a position, what happens now?
Once you apply we will send you an automated response via email, confirming receipt of your application. The Careers team and the relevant hiring manager responsible for the role will review your application and advise you if your application is to be progressed in the selection process. If your application is not successful, we will advise you and retain your details on our database.
What does the recruitment process consist of?
For the majority of positions the recruitment process will consist of an initial phone conversation with one of our recruitment professionals. You may then be asked to attend a first interview to assess your cultural fit for both the business and the position. If you are asked to continue through the process you will then be given the opportunity to meet with the hiring manager to assess your technical ability. We endeavour to get back to all candidates with feedback within 48 hours of interview.
How often are new roles advertised on your website?
All positions are advertised on the People & Careers section of the UGL website and this can be updated on a daily basis, so we encourage you to check our website regularly or register for Career Alerts which will automatically send you future roles that match your preferences.
How long are positions advertised for?
Most roles have a closing date of one to two weeks but others can remain open until the vacancy is filled. Again please check our website regularly.
Can I apply for an overseas role?
UGL offers career opportunities across our portfolio of international locations. If you have the required skills and experience for the position, we suggest you make an application.
Can I apply for more than one role at a time?
Yes. You are welcome to apply for any of our roles that you believe match your experience and interests.
What if I can’t find a suitable job when I am searching current vacancies?
Register your details for Career Alerts. Career Alerts are an automated email, advising you that a role has been advertised. You can create a Career Alert and we will send you an email when a position becomes available that matches your search criteria.
Are there any career advancement opportunities?
Our strategic platform continues to evolve as we focus on market leadership across all of the industries in which we currently operate and new markets into which we may expand. As such, there are often opportunities for career advancement, and we always look to see if vacancies can be suitably filled internally before advertising elsewhere. Employees are encouraged to discuss their career goals and aspirations with their managers and to engage in the career development options UGL has on offer.
How do I reset my username or password?
If you forget your password you will have to click on the "forgotten your password?" link. You will then be presented with your secret question which you must answer correctly to have your password sent to your email address.
As an applicant, what can I expect from the selection process?
Our selection process may include some or all of the below:

How do I get an update on a role that I have applied for?
Most roles advertised by the UGL Careers team will have a contact name and number attached to them and you can contact that person directly. You can also “track your application” at any time using your username and password to check the status of your application.
Privacy – How do I delete my record?
Should you no longer wish for UGL to store your details on the database, you have the option to remove your personal details and applications by logging into “update your profile”.
