Great culture: it's a two-way street

With a large number of employees celebrating 20+ years at UGL Unipart in Auburn, New South Wales, it got us thinking; is there a correlation between tenure and company culture? 

We asked the question “What attracted you to work at the UGL Unipart Auburn site ?” to some of our most seasoned employees.

The responses were certainly interesting. Stability of roles, stability of management, the opportunity to develop careers, and the work environment were noted as key motivators for people to stay with our company. 

Working with and having the chance to speak to people from different backgrounds, and all walks of life was also mentioned.  

The standout comment was that UGL Unipart “has taken care of me, and I feel like I take care of the company. It’s a two-way street.” It sums up the sentiment of many of our people and contributes to a collaborative and positive culture.

UGL Unipart at Auburn offers a stable and consistent role for our people, as well as the opportunity to develop further their careers or to excel in their current positions, whilst pursuing personal goals.

We’re glad that so many of our people continue to enjoy working on our sites. We appreciate each and every one of them.

UGL Unipart is a joint venture established in December 2011 between UGL and Unipart Rail. UGL Unipart provides heavy maintenance and supply chain services for over 1,200 passenger cars in Sydney’s metropolitan passenger rail fleet.
