UGL in joint venture with CPB Contractors is delivering a 140ML per day Nutrient Removal Plant (NRP) at Melbourne Water's Western Treatment Plant (WTP). The joint venture is delivering the design, documentation, construction, commissioning and first two years of operations and maintenance (O&M) of the WTP.
The scope of the project includes the design and construction of:
- an influent system to draw influent from the 55E Lagoon system
- a nutrient removal plant
- an effluent discharge system to return treated effluent downstream.
Once commissioned, the joint venture will undertake operations and maintenance (O&M) of the plant.
Melbourne Water manages Melbourne's water supply catchments, treats and supplies drinking and recycled water, removes and treats most of Melbourne's sewage, and manages waterways and major drainage systems in the Port Phillip and Westernport region.
