Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) is a joint venture between UGL, MTR Corporation and John Holland. MTM is the operator of Melbourne’s metropolitan rail network.
As part of MTM, we are responsible for operating and maintaining all assets associated with the network spanning 15 lines, over 200 stations and more than 900km of track.
Furthermore, MTM works with the State Government, Public Transport Victoria (PTV) and Transport for Victoria (TfV) to plan and deliver major infrastructure works that increase the durability and capacity of the metropolitan rail network.
MTM, through its growing project delivery capability, is making a critical contribution to major works programs that are changing the shape and capacity of the city’s rail network including the Level Crossing Removal Program, Melbourne Metro Rail Tunnel and the line extension to Mernda.
The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Metro Trains Australia (MTA).
