Diversity and social inclusion at UGL refers to the mix of different backgrounds, cultures, values, skills, knowledge, talents, thoughts and experiences that create our people excellence, uniqueness, and organisation fabric.

Women@UGL
Women@UGL brings together all the available initiatives driving the female agenda at UGL under one strategic pillar to provide a consistent platform to elevate women across UGL.
Under this banner, we have a number of initiatives including:
- Targeted programs like our Emerging Female Leaders Program - supporting female leaders to take the next step, we explore and determine your aspirational career goals, expand your leadership skills and build your personal brand to unleash your full potential.
- Networking events held across the business with various themes to promote engagement.

- Female driven events celebrating International Women’s Day and Women in Engineering Day.

Indigenous participation
UGL continues to focus on the engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and communities. Our internal Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander networking group is a place where our employees can build relationships, connect, support and share experiences. It also advises the business on a range of partners and initiatives to support community groups and improve engagement outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.We are also proud to have committed to a 2022-2025 Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), UGL’s fourth RAP. Veterans
The Veteran’s network brings together our veterans and provides a place to share experiences and discuss initiatives which will make UGL a great place to work for current and future veteran employees.
To support the integration of ex-service employees into the UGL workforce, we implemented a mentoring program and have a partnership with the PM Veterans Employment Program.
We also proudly acknowledge ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day annually.
Inclusion@UGL
UGL’s inclusion champion network advocates and builds an inclusive workplace that serves the broad diverse employees and communities we work with.
As part of our commitment to inclusion, the champion network partners with organisations and build our inclusive culture and workforce capabilities for skilled migrants, neurodiverse and the LGBTIQ+ community.
