With no day the same, Claire is always excited to start work, managing communications for new energy, strategy for hydrogen, preparing for meetings in Japan, and returnable schedules for tenders.
But there’s one thing Claire is particularly looking forward to this year…
“I’m looking forward to seeing a tender process from the start. When you win a tender you get to ring a bell.”
UGL secured its last tender win of 2022 on Christmas Eve with many employees missing out on the bell ringing as they jetted off to reunite with family for the holiday season.
After covid saw the arts industry grind to a halt, Claire started to rethink her career and it was her husband, an engineer, who suggested the typically male-dominated industry.
“I initially had reservations and my husband convinced me, and I’m glad he did,” Claire says.
She says UGL is at the forefront of things that haven’t been done elsewhere and is keen to tackle new challenges.
For women looking to make the plunge, Claire says, “Come join us!”.
