Sam Goldsmith, UGL’s Executive General Manager of Services and Chair of UGL’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Committee, was honoured to present the Dr. Dean Jarrett Award at the Supply Nation Supplier Diversity Awards. The event recognises outstanding contributions to supplier diversity and the growth of the Indigenous business sector.
Supply Nation works to connect 4,500 verified Indigenous businesses on Indigenous Business Direct with more than 750 corporate, government and not-for-profit members in every state and territory.
The awards night brings together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, corporate organisations, and government departments. It is a platform for celebrating successes and fostering new opportunities within the rapidly evolving Indigenous business sector. Through this event, Supply Nation and its partners work diligently to shape a more inclusive and dynamic marketplace.
Congratulations to Amanda Inman from Laing O’Rourke, who illustrates the potential to drive growth and achieve a truly prosperous, vibrant and sustainable Indigenous business sector.
At UGL, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of Australians every day. Our 2022-2025 RAP outlines our commitment to reconciliation by focusing on several key areas: expanding partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, promoting awareness of their cultures within our business, creating local employment opportunities, and supporting Indigenous businesses through targeted procurement practices.
