The CopperString 2032 Experience Centre has officially opened in Townsville, providing a unique and interactive way for the public to explore the transformative CopperString 2032 project. Key exhibits include an opportunity to build your own transmission towers, a timeline of Queensland’s energy history, and a helicopter simulator that offers a hands-on experience of the aerial work involved in the project. By visiting this centre, the community can gain a deeper understanding of the project's importance and the long-term benefits it will bring to the region.
This 840km transmission line project, being delivered by UGL in partnership with CPB Contractors for Powerlink Queensland, is set to enhance energy infrastructure across North Queensland. The Experience Centre highlights the project’s role in connecting renewable energy sources to the grid, fostering economic growth, and contributing to a more sustainable future.
