Vathsalan Mahadevan has received a Very Best Award for innovation after being nominated twice by his colleagues for developing two applications which are now being used across UGL: Engineering Baseline Competency App and UGL Prime Arc.
Vathsalan managed to do this in a short period of time, having started with UGL just over a year ago.
He started by overhauling a 20-year-old database, replacing it with a more streamlined app that allowed our Resources West team to manage welding operations.
This app can also be used on projects across UGL as well as by our fellow CIMIC Group companies.
His hard work and fast turnaround time (just two months) has delivered value across the business.
He also helped to create the Prime Arc app, transitioning a former system and allowing UGL’s welding database to be accessible across UGL.
Vathsalan created a modern interface which is more user-friendly. He continues to make himself available on short notice for tweaks.
