UGL is proud to operate across the country, with sites in major cities and regional areas. We recognise that strong communities foster a sense of belonging, provide essential support systems, and promote shared values and we aim to support communities in these goals.
Our recent UGL community empowerment expo, in Perth, Western Australia, focused on empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The expo created opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and job seekers to connect with UGL hiring managers. Fourteen businesses showcased their offerings, exploring collaborations and demonstrating their expertise. Additionally, 31 candidates interviewed with professional recruiters, gaining valuable feedback and career guidance. The event strengthened community networks across Western Australia.
UGL is committed to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities by developing strong connections and meaningful partnerships. Through our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan, we continue to embrace cultural understanding, promote inclusivity, and create real opportunities for Indigenous communities.
Our thanks to UGL’s Hayley Dawson, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Recruitment Business Partner and Denzel Thorne, Junior Bid Coordinator, for organising the expo.
