Guls commitment to psychological safety at UGL

Displaying leadership and strategy skills, UGL Senior HSEQ Systems Advisor, Gul Bernstein, has overseen the development of UGL's psychosocial risk procedure and management plan. Tasked with completing this complex initiative, Gul coordinated stakeholders, ensuring accountability to a structured timeline. Gul’s hard work demonstrates her commitment to fostering a safer, more supportive workplace environment.

UGL recognises the positive impact Gul’s achievements have on the business, and she has been recognised with a Very Best Award for Safety.

“Creating the plan was complex as it needed to align with varying requirements from each state as well as our varied operations,” said UGL Head of HSE, Transport, Leo Vesey. “There was no off-the-shelf-solution, which meant it took persistence from Gul to coordinate each input.”

Having a psychosocial risk procedure and management plan is important for our people and our business.

UGL commends Gul for her exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication, setting a benchmark for future initiatives aimed at psychosocial safety.
