Congratulations to Michelle Davis who has reached 30 years with UGL. In 1995 Michelle started as an Accounts Clerk in the Accounts Payable section before moving into the Engineering Division and supporting our major projects teams.
But this wasn’t the last time Michelle worked in Accounts Payable, moving back to the team five years into her tenure, as a support role for the maintenance projects.
When the business decided to implement SAP, Michelle was brought into the project team as an SME, and then returned to the project financials, but always remained a go-to person for the various SAP issues.
“The highlight of working at UGL has been being able to work on different types of projects, from defence, mining, roads, rail, communications, to maintenance,” said Michelle. “I have also had the opportunity to work with great people.”
Michelle has now taken on the challenge of supporting UGL’s Telecommunications team as a project accountant, helping to support the growth of the Telco business.
“Michelle has been a pivotal person in the business and is liked and respected by all. She has become a go-to person with extensive knowledge of how UGL operates, and specifically with regards to SAP,” said Operations Manager – East, Rail and Technology Systems, Stuart Hosie.
When Michelle isn’t at UGL, she enjoys ghost tours and staying overnight in haunted houses – spooky stuff!
