Congratulations to Senior Project Manager, Paul Chapman, who is celebrating 15 years at UGL. Paul previously spent 24 years at UGL before a short stint elsewhere, making his time at UGL nearly 40 years.
During his time at UGL, Paul spent six years looking after the communications and fibre optic networks with numerous substation builds completed for Transgrid.
He’s also worked on several optical ground wire and fibre network projects for Alinta Energy in Newman and Roy Hill – WA, Endeavour Energy in Penrith – NSW, Diamantina Mine in Mt Isa – Qld, Malabar Sewerage Treatment Plant, and the water treatment plant at Sydney's Olympic Park.
In 2019, Paul moved into Rail Infrastructure working on projects which improve safety across the Sydney Trains network and more recently on the Kangy Angy Maintenance Facility Additional Works and the Rail Traction Power Sectioning huts at Medlow Bath and Knapsack in NSW.
Paul is the third generation Chapman to work at UGL with his son recently becoming the fourth. Nathan Chapman joined UGL’s RTS business as an undergrad last year. Nathan is set to begin his graduate role with UGL's Transport division in November.
