UGL had fun painting another tree for the The Blue Tree Project which aims to inspire conversations around mental health and encourage individuals to speak up when facing mental health challenges. The tree will be displayed on site at Shell’s Queensland Gas Company (QGC) business facility on Curtis Island, Gladstone.
Since its launch in 2018, the charity has painted over 1,200 trees around Australia creating powerful reminders to raise awareness about mental wellbeing and suicide prevention. Beyond awareness, the charity offers practical support through education and training programs, such as Mental Health First Aid courses, helping individuals and organisations foster mentally healthy environments.
Taj Schafer, UGL Permit Coordinator, shared, “Being part of the Blue Tree Project is more than just painting a tree. It’s ensuring people know they don’t have to face their struggles alone, spreading awareness, and reminding everyone that it’s okay to talk about mental health.”
