UGL has been awarded the Tangkam and Oakey Secondary Systems Replacement project by Powerlink Queensland. This achievement underscores UGL’s reputation as a trusted partner in providing critical infrastructure tailored to the unique needs of the utilities sector.
This project reflects UGL’s steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that drive energy reliability across Queensland. It highlights our expertise in managing essential systems with precision and consistency, reflecting the value brought to every partnership. Powerlink’s decision to partner with UGL on this project was directly attributed to UGL’s proven track record of delivering similar projects with excellence.
UGL’s operational flexibility, which allows for concurrent work across geographically distinct project sites, was another key factor in meeting Powerlink’s critical deadlines.
This is a project delivered under Powerlink’s Substation Panel Agreement, involving major system replacement works across Tangkam and Oakey substations, located two hours west of Brisbane. At Tangkam, the scope includes earthworks, foundation construction, and installation of infrastructure such as AC boards, cable trenches, and a generator. Oakey’s scope covers foundation works, AC board and cable installation, and trench and drainage system extensions.
Every project we undertake is an opportunity to demonstrate our expertise, strengthen client partnerships, and pave the way for sustainable, long-term success. We look forward to working closely with Powerlink Queensland on this project and delivering outcomes that reinforce Queensland’s energy reliability.
