At our HumeLink West Batlow site, our UGL and CPB Contractors team came together as part of the MATES in Construction Fly the Flag campaign, standing in support of suicide prevention and mental wellbeing. The video captures how our FIFO workers are creating space for honest conversations and looking out for their mates.
Today is World Mental Health Day, a day to pause and reflect on the importance of wellbeing, reminding us that taking care of ourselves and those around us helps us all to thrive. This year’s theme, Connect for Mental Health, encourages us to strengthen our connections — with ourselves, our colleagues, our communities, and the world around us.
Across the CIMIC Group we support the wellbeing of our people and our communities.
At UGL we run a Peer Support Network where trained volunteers offer informal, compassionate support to colleagues who may be struggling. It’s a simple but powerful way to make sure no one feels alone.
We also extend our care into the community through our partnership with organisations like the Australian Men’s Shed Association, helping create spaces where men and women can connect, share skills, and support each other through life’s changes.
These initiatives, along with a range of mental health and wellbeing programs, reflect our commitment to building a culture where no one feels alone.
