UGL has reached a key milestone as part of Western Power's Clean Energy Link - North project, with the arrival of a major power transformer at Neerabup Terminal.
The transformer is a critical component of the upgraded network. Once commissioned, it will convert electricity from 330kV to 132kV, and form a key component of the upgraded infrastructure. Its arrival marks a significant step forward in the development of the transmission assets that will help strengthen Western Australia's main electricity network.
Following delivery to site, works are progressing to install and commission the transformer, alongside ongoing secondary cabling and primary plant installation activities.
Richard Gould, UGL Project Director, said the milestone highlights the important role the project will play in supporting communities across the region for decades to come.
