Graduates from across CIMIC Group came together in Brisbane for the annual development day, with 130 participants connecting, networking and developing their personal skillsets.
The day showcased the exciting opportunities across CIMIC Group, while providing graduates with valuable insights from a range of subject matter experts and highlighting the breadth of expertise across our business.
Development days are an important part of CIMIC Group’s Graduate Program as they support graduates in progressing through the program and set them up for success in their future careers. The day included sessions about:
-
How to build trust and manage conflict.
-
Ways to create strong professional relationships.
-
Strategies to support sustainable business outcomes.
-
Our business cycle and future opportunities.
-
Achieving awareness of self and others through DISC profiling (a tool that helps people understand their communication style, motivations, and how they work with others).
UGL Telecommunications graduate, Keira Humphries said:
“It’s been great to investigate our DISC profiles and talk about how we can integrate that into how we work every day. Not only in resolving conflicts, but how we can use these personal insights to work better with others."
Through the Group’s global program, graduates receive structured, on-the-job training, guided learning plans and mentoring from experienced leaders, with opportunities to undertake rotations across CIMIC Group operating companies, including UGL. Learn more here.
