UGL joined bid and proposal professionals at the APMP ANZ 2026 Conference in Melbourne, reinforcing how its disciplined and structured approach continues to set the benchmark for industry best practice.
The conference explored how organisations are evolving their bid functions, with a strong emphasis on balancing fundamentals with new technology. For UGL, this reaffirmed a long-established approach where strong governance, structured planning and deep client understanding consistently underpin successful outcomes.
As Cynthia Krishna, UGL Submissions Manager, noted, “There was a strong focus on how organisations are using technology, including artificial intelligence (AI) and where the real opportunities are emerging.”
Across sessions, disciplined delivery was recognised as a defining feature of high-performing teams. Clear planning frameworks, defined roles and strong governance were highlighted as essential to producing high-quality, competitive submissions. These are core elements already embedded in UGL’s bidding approach.
While technology featured prominently, it was consistently positioned as an enabler of strong practice rather than a substitute for expertise. Examples demonstrated how it can reduce manual effort, improve access to existing knowledge and allow greater focus on strategy and client alignment.
As Cynthia Krishna noted, “Technology is helping with the manual load and giving teams more time to focus on higher-value thinking.”
The discussions reinforced that sustained success comes from combining proven fundamentals with purposeful use of technology. For UGL, this reinforces an established capability, continuing to leverage technology, systems and tools to enhance the discipline, expertise and consistency that underpin its successful bids.
